We are the Motorsports & Collector Auto Division of the Hayden Wood Insurance Agency. The Hayden Wood Insurance Agency was founded in 1946 by Hayden R. Wood, Sr. upon his return from service in World War II and continues today as a family owned and operated insurance agency focused on the protection of our client’s wealth.
At HWI Motorsports we build insurance coverage tailored to protect the lifestyle of Collector Auto & Motorsports enthusiasts. Through our Platinum Program we are able to create an insurance package providing coverage for all your personal insurance needs from Home Insurance to Life Insurance. HWI Motorsports was created by Hayden Wood Insurance President & 3rd generation owner Morgan Duffy. Morgan felt that there was an absence of and significant need for an insurance agency willing and able to provide all the insurance needs of the motorsports community not just Auto Collections and Off-Track coverage but the ability to offer coverage for On-Track Physical Damage for HPDE & Club Racing along with the best Home, Umbrella, Auto, Valuables. and Life Insurance available.
Our Team
Morgan Duffy
Morgan’s first car was a 1966 Ford Falcon purchased at the age of 12 followed shortly at the age of 15 by a 1968 Camaro SS Convertible that he still owns today and you will see used in much of HWI’s marketing. His collection of cars over the years has included everything from an original Ford Model A to a Ferrari 430 Scuderia. As with many of his clients Morgan’s time is a balance between work and his very active family. For work when not in the office you will find him at Monticello Motor Club, Atlanta Motorsports Park or one of the many tracks throughout the U.S. On the home front Morgan can be found working in his garage or cheering on his 3 children at some athletic field or kart track. Morgan’s wife Erin is not to be left out as she is also a racer but prefers shoes to cars, competing in numerous 5Ks, obstacle courses and even marathons. He resides with his wife and 3 children in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Andy Reid
Andy Reid’s first car, purchased at age 15, was a 1968 Fiat 124 coupe. His second, obtained by spending his college savings fund, was a 1966 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2. Since then, he has owned more than 150 cars, “none of them normal or reasonable,” as well as numerous classic motorcycles and scooters. A veteran of film, television, advertising and helping to launch a few Internet-based companies, Reid was a columnist for Classic Motorsports magazine for 12 years and has written for several other publications. Andy joined HWI Motorsports in August of 2014 bringing with him his extensive knowledge of the Collector Auto market. He is considered an expert in European sports and luxury cars and is a respected concours judge. He resides in Canton, Connecticut.
